Nina's Story: The Heart and Soul of Nina L'Allure

If you were to ask me to share my life story when I first moved from England back to Canada, I would have hesitated to tell the world about my challenges. Coming from a conservative South Asian, especially Punjabi culture, certain life decisions are often met with judgment.

Now, with over 20 years of experience and personal growth, I am proud to share my journey in the hope of empowering all women and small business owners who think there is no hope or that it's too hard to be an entrepreneur. 

In the beginning…

I was born in India, and while we were not a wealthy family, we were educated. My family moved to Canada when I was 17. Moving to another country often means starting over to create a better life. You are immersed in a new culture and learn how other people think and live.

I attended Humber College for Business Administration and excelled in the course, but I was young and lacked self-confidence, which made it challenging to approach people and interview for jobs. I eventually landed a good job in retail, and through hard work and long hours, I bought my first property in Mississauga when I was 25. For the next few years, I worked in a couple of places, but I felt I wasn’t reaching my full potential.

Even though I questioned where I was in life and the decisions I had made, I later realized that my experiences, though challenging, would lead to positive outcomes.

Dreams to Reality

In 2001, I sold my home and moved to the UK. The first few years were challenging. I wanted to look my best for my wedding and enrolled in holistic therapies and skin care programs. What I discovered was that human anatomy and dealing with hair and skin conditions had always been my passion.

I enrolled at the West Thames College London, England, and received the following diplomas and degrees.

• Diploma in Electrolysis,

• Medical Aesthetics, 

• Anatomy Physiology and Massage, 

• Aromatherapy, 

• Reflexology, 

• Colon Hydrotherapy

• Lasers (Hair Removal, Tattoo Removal, Photo Rejuvenation)

Through the years of never giving up, I became an expert in the beauty field. My friends often referred to me as a Skin Nerd! Coming to the realization that the work begins within and beauty also begins within, changed my perception and brought me success in both my personal and professional life.

After working in the beauty industry as an electrologist and holistic therapist at the prestigious Bond Street, London, England Salons, I found my niche in lasers and advanced skin care treatments. It is quite an honour to be referred to as a Laser Guru/Skin Specialist.

I was invited to write many articles and was a guest speaker for many national and international magazines and radio programs. I also had a TV show in the UK called Nina L’Allure Live, which covered health and beauty issues. 

It has been a privilege to work not just in London England but in Mumbai, Delhi and the Midlands in the United Kingdom.

While in England, I had the pleasure of collaborating with Dr. Schrammek – the world-renowned brand for pigmentation, acne, and scarring skin conditions.

My Journey to Entrepeneur

As I mentioned before, life had its challenges and one was my divorce. After long litigation in the UK, all I wanted to do was to come back to Canada to have a fresh start for myself and my two boys. The first 2 years here in Canada were not that easy. I worked for a plastic surgeon, Med Spas and Fast Food Restaurants, where I did everything and anything to survive working 18 hour days. 

From 2012-2017, I ran an Academy of Laser Science/Skin Care in the UK and continued to offer the Certificate Program in Burlington, Ontario when I relocated in 2018 and became an entrepreneur and opened my own business, Nina L'Allure for Laser Hair Removal. 

I am proud to say I have done over 60,000 skin and laser treatments that include many A-List Celebrities and have established myself as a Skin Care Therapist/Educator/Laser Guru in the beauty industry.

At the beginning of 2024 I opened my sister company Laser Skin Pro & Aesthetics to focus on offering facial treatments to people suffering from various skin conditions and those who are looking to enhance and revitalize their skin.

Currently, I provide Laser Hair Removal treatments for women and men in my clinic Nina L’Allure Laser Hair Removal in Burlington, Ontario and Laser Facials and Medi Spa Services at my sister clinic Laser Skin Pro at the same location. 

I am also working on developing a Podcast where I will be talking about many topics from skin concerns to motivation and inspiration and look forward to sharing interviews with a diverse selection of inspiring people and professionals in different skin and beauty businesses.

My goal moving forward is to share my passion internationally on how to take care of yourself from the inside out and lead by example by balancing personal self care with providing the best skin care options for both women and men.
